I am drawn to people, animals and moments that carry a sense of personality — the quiet contemplation of an orangutan. Rather than recreating reality, I interpret it through colour, texture and movement, allowing each subject to emerge with its own mood and story.

It took me six years to come back to this painting…and can finally say that I have now finish it

The motivation to start this painting was when my younger one was a year old - she’s my little krishna (and yes born on Janmashtami too) who helps me build wisdom at every step of my life 💙🦚

I did lose my path in between to come back to this painting sooner….and she’s the one who’s put me back on it :)

National Grief Awareness Day

Most of the time, we learn to seal our grief behind smiles, laughter and the everyday routines of life just like this gold foil

Because life moves on.

But that doesn’t necessarily mean the grief goes away.

We can never truly say that we are completely healed, because we are human. Grief is not linear. It is a process that comes and goes, sometimes quietly, and sometimes in waves when we least expect it.

For me, grief came in a way I never imagined.

I am a mum to two beautiful girls. When my younger daughter was diagnosed with a rare genetic mutation, I broke down.

And even now, seven years later, there are days when I still do.

There is a particular kind of grief that comes with being a mother — grieving the life I imagined, the mother I thought I would be if everything had been okay, and the future I had once pictured for my children.

The more I learn about elephants, the more I’m fascinated by how much of their emotional world feels familiar to ours.

They remember, grieve, nurture, protect, form deep bonds and even comfort one another. And just like us, they have their own personalities, gentle, curious, cautious, playful.

Perhaps that’s why I’m drawn to painting animals these days

There’s something deeply moving in recognizing emotion across species.

💙 Six years ago, I discovered that paints and brushes were much cheaper than therapy

I say that with a smile today, but there’s a lot of truth behind it

🥲 Life had become overwhelming. Between parenthood and receiving our daughter’s diagnosis, and trying to hold everything together, I realised I needed something that was just for me

🖌️🎨So I picked up a paintbrush

💙 What started as a way to breathe again slowly became something much bigger. It reminded me who I was beyond the responsibilities, and eventually it became Artbeat Hub.

💙💫 Lately now, I have come back to my canvas to paint for myself. Some days it’s simply because I need the quiet that comes with a blank canvas. Other days, those paintings find their way into someone’s home. Either way, I never want to lose that feeling of creating for the joy of it

🫶 I create spaces where children and grown-ups can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and remember what it feels like to create without pressure.

💙 My hope and mission is simple…Encouraging Love for Art in Children and Adults

💫 That more people rediscover the joy of creating, not because they’re artists, but because they’re human.
